Lesbians popping their collar?

Someone told me today that when a lesbian pops her collar she's kind of showing she's a lesbian. This is for the more butch ones. I work with one who does this and the other day she approached another woman in the parking lot who had also done this and the two were talking for a while. Anyone else heard of this?

Reply:I haven't heard of this. I know the popped collar was a pop culture fashion fad. Perhaps it's like the old colored hankie code for gay men, but i don't think so.
