Am I what most people consider to be a nerd?

Well, most people have labels attached to them. I know that these labels don't matter and really only asking, becuase I'm at work and I'm bored.





Ok, so these are my "nerd" qualities: I play chess, I can solve a Rubik's cube in less than a minute, I like anime, I have memorized pi to 101 decimal places, I read novels and comics, I like classical music, I play classical piano, I know how to do pen tricks and coin walking tricks, I know magic tricks, and my friends call me a nerd, due to my vast knowledge of trivia.





Now, here are my non-nerd qualities: I'm athletic, I play sports, my girlfriend is one of those "hot-preppy-girls" that every guy looks at, I play guitar, I know how to dance salsa, merengue; I dress preppy (non-popped collar), I know how to box, and I don't wear glasses or pocket protectors.





So, yea, you decide.

i have some of the same attributes.


I play chess, I play piano, alto sax, trumpet, percussion, bassoon, guitar, violin, clarinet, and baritone...yet, i play baseball, soccer, etc. I have solved my Rubiks cube around 750 times in one month...however, I wear preppy clothes (sometimes with a popped collar) .....Im even in Debate, and all i do is pen tricks and argue. lol but when people label me they label me as a prep, because apparently i have more preppy qualities.......and yet I have no label for you my friend.....but you are by no stretch of the means a "nerd" =)

Reply:Well the only thing that goes against your Nerd label is that you're Athletic. Nerds usually don't play sports. It doesn't matter to me. I'm just giving you the gist of what other people may think. I try not to label others by what they like and their attributes.

I doubt it. If you have your critics they are probably jealous of your talents.


I think your classic nerdy looking type is Bill Gates though he comes across as being a nice easy going guy. Nevertheless have you ever wondered how many of his ex-lady classmates are kicking themselves in the rear end for turning him down for a date in favour of the big football or basketball player?
