Why do people hate people who pop their collars so much?

if i wanna pop my collar it's because i like the way it looks, and that it. it's not because i wanna be gangsta or preppy or whatever, it's just because i like the way it looks on me when i keep the collar popped up. why dont people mind their own buisness and get their own style?
