How can I make my own style?

I just made this jacket out of a button up shirt i only buttoned the the third button.It is a light tan plaid color.Then i took the two ends of the shirt and saftey pinned them up near but farther down where my sides are.Then i took a golfer shirt that has green and blue stripes,and i buttoned it all the way up.I popped the collar then safety pinned the collar so it looks like an asian one.My mom said you can dress funky when your not in school but not in school i am not breaking any school rules i just looked over the dress code.Why is my mom such a ***** also do you think this is the start of my unique style.Also in the cooler seasions i was thinking about wearing shorts and under them jeans but the jeans are tight in the thigh and all loose on the bottom.

How can I make my own style?
very uniqe style . your mom probabley thinks it's a little too uniqe but i do that too sometimes i had a denim skirt and soffe shorts i puth the soffes on then put the skirt over them and rolled the soffe shorts down wearing my new denim soff skort!!
