I'm a pretty preppy guy and i wear abercrombie, american eagle, and hollister almost every day and when ever i pop my collar girls tell me to put it down, why?

I wear polos somewhat and I have popped my collar once or twice. I thought it was stupid after about five minutes and unpopped it.
